The Editor Expansion Kit
Download it Now!
Included in the kit is the EDx root files, Original backup files for the vanilla editor, Modules, Database, Unofficial OFDR/Edx manual and a readme.
The Readme file you will find in the Manual zip file, please take a minute to read what is mentioned. The links in the manual are dead. My apologies!
Installation:
(sorry about the white noise, can't seem to get rid of that at the minute. few teething issues with my new rig)
Create your self a new "EDX" folder in Mission Editor/Help/ Missions directory.
Create a sub-folder called Modules and place modules in there.
You can also create a folder named markers collections for the bunkers and checkpoint files. This helps to keep your editor files succinct and in one place.
The modules included are as follows.
Camera
Parachute
Transport helo
EDx QuickStart
TjDaggers Modules:
Mortars/Satcam
Vehicles
Random Spawn
Coop
TJDBunkers
IED/Mines/Placeables/fx mod
Others:
Lighting Mssn (power Up!)
BunkerAssests Markers collection.
Checkpoint Markers collection.
============================
When using the Editor Expansion Kit with your current Database, you may find that some modules require the use of specific units. These units were created at the leisure of TJdagger while he was making some of the modules. You may find that if you try and use a specific module ie: mortar bunker mod, then you may not be able to export the mission to test it out. This is where replacing you current DB with the modified DB will help.
You can get it here:
Download it Now!
note: this is NOT a requirement for all modules used in the EDX, but it does help to have it if you want to use ALL the modules made for the EDX.
The lighting Mssn is the recent work created by Dewi 316 you can find his thread here : Power Up!
The Bunker Assests are a collection of various sized bunkers created by myself and Tjdagger while we were making NightHawk and D-Day. I decided to release them for the community, because they can be used in any type of mission and give a good variety of choice for gun emplacements and Lookout Bunkers.
The checkpoint Markers collection I have released as part of the tutorials within the manual.
The database includes numerous changes made by Tvig0r0us, TjDagger, and Myself. It is a mix of other databses from DDeo,Enigma and TemplarGFX. Some changes include, Thermal Imagining Binoculars, White Flashlights, Weapon Modifications, Unit modifications, ammo modifications, unlocked props.
=========================
There may be an update from time to time so please keep watching and as always it would be nice to here some feedback on the EDx and the work that has gone into it not only the EDx but the supplements too.
There are some video tutorials avalible for the Edx and a thread will be setup soon to keep these videos in one place. For now you can find them here:
Video Tutorials
or you can check my Youtube channel here:
MdogTV!
There is now a Hotkey App available for your use check here:
Hotkey App thread
IF you would like the Documentation to find out more information about the EDX then you will find that here:
EDX Documentation
Please note also that I have permission to release this in the community and that you respect The author by not distributing yourselves. Please direct enquires to this thread the authors of the content and Admin about the EDx.
Thanks and Hope you can create something great using this marvelous tool created by Tvig0r0us.

Needed to be done I think!
Anyway, I've added in a link to the hotkey app and EDX Documentation.
Cheers!
Re: The Editor Expansion Kit
I have a full working copy of the infantry assault module but I need to get a good description of it first before it goes up so that you all understand how it works.
I was going to re-upload it so it was part of the EDX pack, but to save you all re-downloading I'll make a fresh thread for that when I have the relevant info for it. Once that is up that will be all the modules released that have been made so far.

Re: The Editor Expansion Kit
Here's a copy of the updated EDX as of 10/15/2013. It fixes a glitch in the EDX:setWeatherCurrent() function and adds EDX:getPlayerLeader() function to get the current player leader in a coop match when the primary player is dead.

Enjoy!

Nice to see you back from vaca! Just grabbed the new download!
any chance you still have the documentation file from before (understand it needs editing and updating but 90% is 90% more than some got)
Thanks again and see you board side!

Re: The Editor Expansion Kit
Yep, I have it. I'll try to give it updates as time allows, but I'll be reposting the docs.

Re: The Editor Expansion Kit
Not sure what level of interest there is in this anymore, but I managed to write a couple of functions that convert a set of position coordinates to map grid coordinates. I've also tweaked a couple of the EDX functions in addition to having done a bit of work on a couple of new modules. I'll post it up at some point.
Cheers

Re: The Editor Expansion Kit
that might be of interest to some, personally I never had an innate feeling of direction with those coordinates.
Am curious if we have the latest released EDX posted though
Been playing with some game engines lately myself - we should compare some notes on things that you may have an interest in

Re: The Editor Expansion Kit
You do not have it yet. I'm still coming up with new things to put in it believe it or not and I've also found a couple of small bugs that I had to stomp out of it. It will be up sometime soon
