Mission editor and campaign
Q: Is it possible to edit campaign missions with the mission editor, or just go on them and observe how the mission is made? It'll really help me see how it all goes down under the HUD

Re: Mission editor and campaign
Unfortunately the answer is no and no. CM didn't give us much insight when it comes to how they made their missions for DR and what we've been able to extract from the win files is incomplete. The best we've been able to do is get some of the entity layouts from the mission xml files. I think DR Operative made a mission decompiler that would place the entities from a mission in the editor, but that's about all.

OK!
This is where the EDx will come in very very handy for you! I've ben trying to push this for the community for quite some time now and one reason I know why the modules haven't been released fully is because there seemed to be lack of interest in the EDx.
This has given me more of an incentive now to send out my tutorials on using the EDx, I've been using it for a few months now and although things are not fully complete with some of the modules, they aer still workable and I can say you will not need to know much about coding to be able to use them.
There are some areas of LUA and basic coding that you WILL need to get your head around but give it time, don't expect a miracle overnight. There can be alot to cover.
Would you like me to send you my basic steps manual for the EDx? I've kept it to myself because of lack of interest also and felt I had wasted my time doing it.
