Runerback you do whatever you can dude. We are not expecting a miracle as such from you. What i will point though is, you have spent quite some time working on those files and with the result so far you have achieved more than most since the game was released regarding the textures.

People have wanted to mod this to get different factions in and you just opened a do. It one of those things that is like opening a can of worms further and everyone is expecting the things that have been missing to just appear.

I do agree with zeewolf though, having access to .xmls that would affect gameplay would make all the difference.

Do what you can, take a break, do abit more then take another break. This will crack your skull if you work too much on it, giving yourself an immediate timeline to want to get it out will only add pressue on you.

There is no timeline do what ever you can however long it takes. From your previous attempts it is clear you are committed and have the drive that most of us have here to see it opened up more.

Goodluck with whatever you achieve further with this.

If you're still keen on modding textures, one idea that would be really nice to see is replacement camouflage patterns for both sides. Desert MARPAT on Skira is a @&*#&%* travesty, having an option of other variants of the PLA type 07 pattern would be nice as well. If the camouflage is a shared texture for most units then it would be easier than you might think.

very very nice - persistent bugger pays off and getting your head around it is key to moving forward - all many can do for now is cheer you on and maybe give you some things to keep in mind - there may be more hiding in the mod tools and discussions for GRID and Colin McRae: Dirt 2 - they all used some variation of the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EGO_(game_engine) game engine -  the RedRiver format was V2 which is probably why you see some commonality

was simply suggesting to look to some of the hack/modder threads for games using that EGO v1 tech - it was mentioned that there was a mod to build a car - THAT would be gold

So has anyone managed to replicate what runerback has done? re skinning uniforms would be good, also would like to see assets such as cargo containers and other such placeables with a new coat of paint would give the game a fresh look. New camouflage on tents and sandbags would be nice, just some ideas.
