[SP/Coop] This Is War 2014

Hey Homer, please look in the this is war mission folder for a debug file. If you have one, would you zip it up and send it to my email. If you don't have my addy anymore, pm me and I'll get it to you.

Based on a review of the images it looks like a corruption in the save file or the loading procedure failed.

There is a custom save hotkey you can press, I think it is "0" on the numpad??

An official release of This is War v2.7 with Power Up version 3 that's what's on my Christmas list.   

Hmmmm... I don't see it in the cards for Christmas, but a 2014 version OFDR faithful forum release is imminent.   

OK.. so I lied.  Here's a This is War v2.6 2014 release candidate.  If there are no bug reports by the new year then this version is the release version.  I'll set up a couple more start spots and make it official..  This features the proposed spawning placeables solution for the CTD issue and the long awaited PowerUp v3 module by Dewi, tjDagger with some slight modifications by me.  Merry Christmas everyone!!

Chris, been playing the last few days and everything ok.Got upto 25% complete but can't reload today to carry on (just freeze's on reload). The last time I played (an earlier version) I ended up stuck at 36% with an enemy soldier stuck under the road (after I had ran him over) with a bunch of soldiers stood in a circle shooting at the road.It was quite funny really and I know it was a DR bug and not your fault.Only ever managed to finish this game once (well 99% before all enemy disappeared). Would love to be able to do it again.Give us a shout if you want me send you any debug files or anything.

Are you able to restart it with the island state intact?

The only way to restart is to start a new game.Is there a way to save the island state?

Luvin this lastest version of 'This is war'. Not played for a while, love all the new effects.I especially love the night vision binoculars (I can find dead body's now before they disappear).

Since everything appears to be working pretty well with v2.6, it's official. I'm introducing the multiple start zone concept in this post and will update the OP when I get ahold of mdog. In the meantime, here's how this works.

All of the campaign information will save to the core campaign folder for this is war. The alternative starts will have their own campaign folders and you will load them into the game as their own campaigns. Here's where things are different. All progress will be recorded to the same esave file, which means that if you play and capture some points in This is War East, they will be updated the next time you load This is War from the west. This will happen whether you load from a checkpoint or start a new campaign from the beach. The same goes for any of the This is War campaign starts. No matter where you start on the island, all of your progress counts towards one overall conquest of the island so you can conduct a campaign for the entire island from several points of attack. Your progress in each campaign runs concurrent with the next, so everything you do will affect the overall outcome of your This is War adventure. I hope this makes sense. To reset your campaign, you need to go to the core This is War folder and delete the esave file. The next time you load up your progress will be reset to zero and you will be off on a new conquest.
