Delta Force Rising
Hey everyone,
Well I am gonna try and do tribute to one of my all time favorite games. This was one of the first military shooters games i ever played and loved it. So I would like to recreate the missions in Dragon Rising. The missions will (at my best) be reproductions of the missions played in the game. There are a TON of them and I am gonna start with the beginning set of missions based in Peru. I am ok at building missions in ArmA series so I think with the new EDX i am gonna try and do this project. Wish me luck lol imma need it.

Re: Delta Force Rising
Cool man! hope it works out how you plan it too. I know using TJ's bunker module you'll be able you make those towers in there.
I used to play DF quite abit a few years back on my old DELL machine until the ex took it off me when we split up as a punishment for chatting up birds on the internet! lol!

Re: Delta Force Rising
Yeah Imma have to pull this cus I see I gotta learn some stuff before tackling this. I am able to start playing with the editor but I gotta figure out the basics of the EDX first. Like how to install it and add the Bunker module lmao. So Imma back burner this until I get some feet under me. I think imma do it for ArmA CWA instead I have more experience in it.

Re: Delta Force Rising
The edx is very easy to install.
1. you download and unzip to your desktop.
2. drag and drop the Mission Editor folder into your DR directory. It will prompt you if you want to move and replace your current copy. Click yes!
3. Thats the EDx in your editor.
modules.
when you download a module, create a folder in your mission editor folder for the modules themselves. I think there already is one in the edx. If there is, save them to there.
They will be saved as marker collections.
1. You download a module.
2. in the editor you go to file (top left)
3. this thne gives you a drop down box.
4. go to marker collections. This gives you another dropdown box. Go to load.
5 When you click load it will basically ask you where you saved your markers collections. Find the module you downloaded and load thqt up. You will then see on the map a load on new placeables and entities. Pluis a new tab. So for the bunkers you will actually see two tabs.
6. When you start coding for it. You will need to add another tab, called missions( thats where you write your code) and another one called level.lua(default tab for coding), you can leave that one blank.
I'll do a picture tut as soon as I can for you bud! You won't believe how simple it really is. I was shocked myself.

Follow that step by step and you can't go wrong. I was thinking of doing one myself but i realised I'd be doubling up on TJ's work.
