Easy guide to DR editing

The Dragon Rising Mission Editor is different to the original mission editor because of the style of game that it is. This editor tutorial is a progressive structure designed for absolute beginners taking their first steps to mission editing in Dragon Rising.

To make things happen in the game you will need to learn a programming language called LUA. As part of this tutorial there is a growing Easy guide to Lua for OFDR that can help you with some of the terms, functions and other syntaxs used to create a mission.

The user interface is quite easy to navigate around once you have cycled through the tabs and sections for your units, props, and general game creation entities. When you have choosen your specific colour settings for your editor your are pratically ready to begin editing a mission.
You begin with a blank map.



All the various interfaces in the mission editor will be described as you work your way through the tutorials so don't worry about what all the various tabs and icons do. These will be explained as you do the tutorials.
