[Need advice]Mods and patches

First of all im sorry if this is in the wrong part of the forum.

To get the best experience is it still v1.02 i should go for?
What mods are the most updated for this version if so?

Most people use the acidChrist.exe 1.02 patch. You need to install the the previous patches first then overwrite with the acid christ patch.

If you are thinking of mission building again, then it might be worth while looking at the editor expansion kit. This turns the vanilla editor in a modular system as well as allow for coding the old way. I have plenty of info on the forum.

Also with the EDx you can add in things like my A10 gun run and sat cam views, helo inserts, all with very little coding needed.

You can also simply rename the ACID exe to be something OFDR-ACID102.exe and place a shortcut on your desktop. 

The only thing it requires is being in the same folder as the original EXE - this approach is additionally needed if you are running a STEAM version as it will be recognized as needing updating.

Apart from that you can use the mod folders correctly.

Already using 1.02 actually. Never go to update to 1.03 even if it is patched to work with mods etc.

If i find time to get back to making missions i will surely use the EDX kit! =)

I used to mod my ofpdr so you didnt have to toggle the command menu. Press key opens menu, release it and command menu would close.
I cant remember if this is still possible?
Im gonna have a look around anyways see if i can get it to work...
