You need Hotkeys on for this mission if you want to use the SATCAM!

When you access the mission through the mission lists. you will see that both missions are the same. I had the night version as the top mission and day version was second. I just can't be assed to change it at the moment. You should also create a folder called mdog and place your two mission files in there.

One thing: you should reupload your file with the mdog directory included rather than the zip containing the two mission folders.

What I mean is inside your zip is currently

OpSD.zip/SD Night
OpSD.zip/SD Day

When it should be (i think)
OpSD.zip/Mdog/SD Night
OpSD.zip/Mdog/SD Day

Just so it's easier for people who wouldn't catch that!

What DB are you using?

Its a modified version of Skaa's (aka ddeo) DB he did last year. We sorted out a few things we weren't to happy with using in that DB, but it has been played with soooo many times I couldn't even begin to remember where to start. The changes started when we made D-Day, so it was a while back now.

I think the two main things you will notice should be the thermal Binos and the torches back to having a white beam instead of the so-called green illunminator. Which Skaa did to help enhance the Night vision btw.

OK getting weird screens, the next screen goes grey and mission is not running:

is this the first time you've played it?

has anyone else had this issue?

Yeah the first time I fired it up and to make sure I didnt screw up i deleted it and extracted it again.

ok, I'don't know what the solution what be tbh, but I do need to know if anyone else has had this issue also, so I can eliminate the possibility of it being a "file bug" and not something to do with your system if you know what I mean?

All of the information pertaining to that screen is contained in the ui_data.xml file contained in the mission directory. Check that file for corruption.

Ok! I have downloaded this a replaced my files of the mission I had and I had no issues with it. what you are best doing mate is, deleting the ones you have completely and then re-downloading it. It should work fine then. I did a fresh download ten minutes ago and it works fine for me. Bioth Night and Day.

Not sure what could be wrong. redownloaded, reinstalled it and still the same thing. After deleting everything as well. I am running 1.02 the fixed EXE is all I have running besides the mission itself. Is there something I am missing? After you check out the screen go ahead and delete them I am sure they are huge.

Great stuff mate! you helped me figured out the issue there. You need to change your directory folder for the mission to Mdog. NOT Operation Steel Diamond. I actually named it the same as you and I got the same error.

Take note people make sure that main directory folder is Mdog, then place both versions in that folder. sorry bout that, this is my first mission don't forget so I'm still hurdling my way through some things.

I was talking in general tbh, no one seems to have had any issues with game-play etc. So happy days . Glad we managed to figure out that file issue too.

well done mate! I'm working on a new one at the moment, it is a continuation of Project Genesis Tj and I were working on. I have had this planned for sometime and have played around with various ideas in the location it is based, but now the modules are usable, it shouldn't take too long for me to build. I'm also going to through the A10 aswell.
