Multi-player Sessions
Hi All,
Thought I'd give this topic a little space of it's own to see how it goes.
TimeZones
Below is a link which you may find useful to calculate timezone time differences etc. Check it out.
http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/gmt-converter/
Skype
I understand that skype may not be for everone. But check it out anyway.
I only have the free version myself and it enables me to chat (I've had up to 5 in a conference call at once) online with others on skype and share files.
Paid versions allow for calls to mobiles and other features etc.
http://beta.skype.com/en/
My skype name is tjdagger.heise
I am available most nights from 9pm my time which = GMT+10
Open to suggestions.

Re: Multi-player Sessions
Yeah, Skype seems to be the best for DR. In TeamSpeak3 you need to deal with admins who are sometimes bored kids and you might loose your room quicker than get full squad for session....
There is Mumble, but so far it's the best for BF2:PR (with something like "realtime - voice - chat - placing in game" [erghh....something like that ], and I don't remember it modified in such way for any other game.
Ventrillo I haven't tried so I can't speak for it.
Skype offers to have FireTeam in 1 room togetherwith very reasonable quality and as Tj said it supports exchanging large files (missions, mods, mappacks, etc.).
I would personally vote for Skype as our default communication platform.
P.S. Skype shows other teammates current time. So far only positive sides

Re: Multi-player Sessions
Nice idea for the thread TJ !
I don't think that putting Skype names on public show is a good thing though. Just for our own security more than anything. I'd prefer to pm or use the chatbox to tell people who I am.
Skype is SOOOOOO easy and its free, I'm game for that one!

Re: Multi-player Sessions
Well, you can always deny any doubtfull friend request on Skype, that's where PM would come in handy, to know who's knocking
In that sense would it be reasonable to cut out that "Skype nickname" option when registering as new member here?

Re: Multi-player Sessions
Hi
I am shahram and I am from iran, tehran city.
I have a cracked version of this game. ( patch v1.02 and crack v1.02 )
I have also SaintAxe&Ror Mission Updaters program and almost more of missions.
I could play this game by tunngle but because I am in iran and it has fucking islamic regime and it limits internet speed . I can't play with good ping ( often > 350 ).
I hope I can play this game without third party programs like tunngle and direct with IP.

Re: Multi-player Sessions
All the mp servers were shut we all have to play via LAN or using tunngle or something.
Re: Multi-player Sessions
Yes, I know. I mean we play via IP address no tunngle.
tunngle have many problems like port forwarding, increasing ping and etc.
sorry for my poor english.

Re: Multi-player Sessions
I'll have a blast as long as its not a SearchAndRescue mission.
I need to get tunngle back on first or we can skype it and share IP's?

Re: Multi-player Sessions
Hey we have a TS server available for use come in anytime. I will create a couple channels for everyone if wanted. We are always looking to get people to use the server. Hit me up when I am on. Which is usually 1pm EST to around 8PM EST most days (in and out all day) Also adding me up on Steam is another way to get a hold of me.

Re: Multi-player Sessions
Some great shots from some good missions!!
It's the BIG windup....
And the PITCH! Great grenade lob by Jurek!
Working our way up to the objective...
Overall some GREAT missions. We also played Dad's Bunker Training and completed it as well. I was so emersed in that game i didn't grab some screens!!! Definitely need to do this regularly.
